Meet Derk Loorbach. As one of the founders of the transition management approach, he has devised a new form of governance for sustainable development Informed by his years as an action researcher in transition processes within government, business, civil society and science. Very much hands-on in the field, Derk has written more than one hundred publications on the topic. Based at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Derk is also both director of DRIFT - a leading research institute in the field of sustainability transitions - and Professor of Socio-economic Transitions at the Faculty of Social Science. He is a regular keynote speaker in and outside of Europe.
