Chantal Zeegers

Chantal Zeegers is Vice Mayor of Rotterdam on behalf of the social liberal party Democrats 66 (D66). She is responsible for climate, construction, and housing. Having been involved in D66 for more than a decade, Chantal has also been party leader in Rotterdam's municipal council and held a variety of different positions within the Ministry of Education and the Municipality of Rotterdam. She started out as an Executive Director of Hillegersberg-Schiebroek, a sub-municipality of Rotterdam, specifically focussed on outdoor spaces, sustainability, traffic, and transport. “I’ve seen Rotterdam change from raw, bare, and windy to attractive, diverse and green,” she says. “I’m looking forward to continuing to develop the city together with the people of Rotterdam.”
