Cecil Konijnendijk

In addition to co-leading Utrecht’s think tank for evidence-based greening of cities, Cecil Konijnendijk is an honorary professor at University of British Colombia and a visiting scholar at Wageningen University. He has 30 years of international experience in studying, teaching, and advising on aspects of urban forestry and nature-based solutions and is widely considered one of the world’s leading urban forestry experts. Currently, Cecil is Editor-in-chief of the journal “Arboriculture and Urban Forestry”, after having edited multiple seminal textbooks and helped founding a leading academic journal. But the so-called 3+30+300 rule is what he’s probably most known for – and what Cecil will also speak about at #UF24.
