Etienne Metais founded the global non-profit organisation CDP in the year 2000 to motivate companies, cities, states, and regions to disclose and manage their environmental impact. He uses data statistically to fuel innovation, civil society development, and a resilient economy. As Senior Manager of the world’s largest environmental database, Etienne leveraged more than a thousand administrations and 14,000 organisations and businesses to make their records public in 2021. Investors recognise CPD scores as indicators for a company’s ecological footprint, driving down greenhouse gas emissions, water pollution, and deforestation. He is based in Berlin.
