The Swedish city of Malmö is a world-leader in the reuse of construction material. Anna Bernstad works on numerous projects for the city, connecting R&D and the Malmö’s strategic work, establishing sustainable construction processes, new material streams, and funding. In her role as Sustainability Strategist for Malmö Stad Stadsfastigheter, Anna supports project managers in developing new buildings and ways of working that reduces carbon emissions and improves resource efficiency. This is what Anna describes as “climate lean construction” and it’s all about achieving more with less.
