My first action as the mayor of my city is………to support the grassroot initiative “Westbahnpark” which wants to transform an old railway area in a very densely build area in Vienna into a 1,2km long park accessible for everyone. To many this idea sound utopic, because of the many regulations within Viennese city planning. However, might not exactly this conviction run risk of eventually turning into a self-fulfilling prophecy? As a mayor I will realise this initiative, not only because of the many benefits a recreational area would bring to this part of the city, but to remind inhabitants, to never give up on dreaming!
